The Bear Men of Adelaide was established in 2000 as a social club for LGBTIQ bears and their admirers.

WELCOME

Whether you’re a bear, a bear admirer or just someone who appreciates friendly people, we welcome all shapes and sizes, and respect each other’s differences.

As a socially conscious group, we always make sure we give back to the LGBTQI community. That’s why we regularly raise money for good causes like Bricks For Bears and HIV prevention.

Through hard work and good will we have grown to become one of the South Australia’s leading LGBTIQ community clubs.

When you become a member, you will enjoy discounts for accomodation, fashion, dance parties, art exhibits, theatre, live music, pub nights, quiz nights, road trips and food events.

Come make some mates. We’d love to meet you.

Anyone of any size may join BMofA. Bears vary greatly in size and shape. All are welcome, invited and encouraged to become involved with BMofA. As long are you are a bear man, attracted to bear men or just like to hang out with nice guys!

I am shy about going to public gatherings how can I work up the courage to attend my first BMofA function?

Many guys have had less than positive experiences at social gatherings. As a result, they are sometimes reluctant to risk rejection or uncomfortable situations in public. The purpose of BMofA is to be a comfortable, accepting social group of guys like you!. It is hard to imagine a group or situation more nurturing than Bears.

Contact us online before attending your first function and one of the friendly BMofA members will be happy to greet you personally at the door.

Yes! There are bears clubs all across Australia and the world. We have a links page that we do our best to keep current of local and world events. Many of the big events are usually attended by hundreds of men from all over the world.
